The 2012 MOKBIKE event has been confirmed with the Ardshiel
who are once again kindly providing the post-ride buffet.
Once again we will be raising funds for Macmillan Cancer
Support and will be presenting the money raised to the local
committee as per 2011.
We will be updating the separate MOKBIKE forum (http://www.kintyreforum.com/viewforum.php?f=67) section
in respect of this as time goes on, but would like to get
the date 'out there' . Further details on routes and how to
enter will follow in the spring. Thank you for all the
support for the inaugural event and we hope you'll join us
for the next one.
MOKBIKE 2012
We would like to
thank everyone who was a part of the 2011 Inaugural MOKBIKE
event, whether you cycled, helped, watched, supported or
donated. Thank You.
Sunday 14th October 2012 is the date for the next one. We
are once again being supported by Flora & Marion from the
Ardshiel/Seafield Hotels, and the post-ride buffet which was
certainly a big hit, will once again be provided there.
At the time of writing, the routes from last year that ran
will do so again, we will also reintroduce the Ultimate
route hopeful that more support can be gained for it with
getting the date out there earlier. We have also by popular
demand established a XC mountain bike route, which with the
kind permission and support of Forestry Commission Scotland
hope will be a success.

Welcome
to the inaugural Mull of Kintyre Bike Challenge
website with the challenges being held on
Sunday 16th October 2011. The event will start and
finish in Campbeltown on the stunning Kintyre peninsula
located on the west coast of Scotland. There is the
option of four challenges to suit experienced riders to

this year's challenge are available locally in Campbeltown
as well as here on-line and there is £5 discount on early
bird entries. Please note entry to this year's
challenges is in advance only and must be submitted no later

For our first Mull of Kintyre Bike
Challenge we have chosen MacMillan Cancer Support as our
charity with all monies collected from entries going direct
to the local Kintyre branch of MacMillan. You can also
raise additional money for MacMillan Cancer Support if you
wish by raising sponsorship.
